Club House, Green Village Compound, Al WaabInternationally known India born artist Vibha Nanda will exhibit painting and sculpture including many new works in a special two day exhibition 14 & 15 November, 2013 at the Clubhouse, Green Village Compound, Al Waab Street, Doha.

The exhibition has been coordinated to celebrate several milestones recently achieved including the expansion of her works selling around the world in 2012 & 2013, media coverage including a front page (arts section) article in the Qatar Tribune, the release of her new book "Joy" featuring her artwork, passing 10,000 likes on Facebook and the public release of a new website this week.

Nanda works in vibrant paint and sculpture with many pieces gracing the homes of art collectors and appreciators in Qatar, India and the United States. Various works including many new contemporary sculptures and paintings will be exhibited and available.

Vibha Nanda Art participated in five major exhibitions in 2013 including Georgetown University-Doha, ArtExpo New York, Spectrum Art New York, Peace Project's "Peace, love & understanding"  which is traveling the world (New York City on November 7) and the upcoming "Schism" exhibition here in Doha. In 2012 her works were exhibited at Agora Gallery in the Chelsea fine arts district of New York City. Her first exhibition was in 2009 in Doha.

Vibha Nanda is a warm, approachable and inviting artist who found expression in ceramics and painting several years ago. When asked about her journey she recently said, "I see a style developing in my work which is like a thread going through each of my works. I feel it is because my works are my own, not inspired or impregnated by any one stream. I paint as I want to and play my own tune on the canvas."

Guest will have the opportunity to attend the opening reception on 14 Thursday starting at 7:00pm. The exhibition will also be open on Friday, 15 November from 10am to 7pm.

News media, art collectors and the public are welcome to attend the exhibition and reception. An experienced professional news photographer and TV news videographer be on site at the reception. Still images and video B-roll will be made available for news organizations that request it.
