Once in a Blue Moon
While I was painting this composition all I wanted was the interplay of Aqua Green and Ultramarine Blue. I told myself to be realistic. It’s a tree. But my hands had a mind of their own.
When you are surrounded by nature in the mountains, you are times faced with scenic beauty, the extent of which your imagination cannot conjure. You can’t believe it until you see it or rather you partake in it.
This painting to me is a manifestation of that emotion. That somewhere on this beautiful earth is a bit of earth which looks just so — once in a blue moon.
