A Room With a View
The passage of time fades some memories. I wanted to preserve this particular memory. This was a picture I had taken from a room I stayed in. The view of the mountains for me was heavenly. I would look out and feel the serenity and beauty around me. That frozen moment in time is crystalized in this work. As the picture was developing I thought to myself, "I want to remember when I'm old." When I am old it will not be a fresh memory, but a memory with an antique quality to it, like a faded photograph, almost forgotten, yet there.
